Please read the following before completing the form

If your story is selected for publication, you will be contacted and receive a gift of $100 and five copies of the book in which your story is published. In order for your story to be qualified, it must adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. You must completely fill out the entire form. Direct email submissions will not be accepted. However, if you choose to submit your story via snail mail, please include all of the details as required from the form.
  2. Your story must be copied and pasted into the text box. We do not accept attachments except for photos and drawings related to your story.
  3. If your story contains any obscene, profane, or derogatory language or images, it will not be accepted.
  4. We do not accept stories that have been previously published.
  5. The story must relate to the category, subcategory, and topic to which you are submitting.
  6. Feel free to submit more than one story to multiple categories.
  7. We recommend that your story is no longer than 5,000 words. However, feel free to write as much as you want if you have a longer story to tell.
  8. Most importantly, your story must be a truthful narrative of how someone held your hand or how you held the hand of someone else in a time of need.

Additional Information

  1. If you have computer issues unrelated to being able to successfully complete and submit your form, please ask someone close to you for assistance as we will not be able to personally assist you.
  2. After you click “Submit Your Story”, you will receive a submission confirmation. If you do not see the confirmation, then your story has not been received and you will have to resubmit it.
  3. Please do not contact us to inquire about your story during the selection process. If your story is selected, you will hear from us. If you do not hear from us within two months of publication, then we have decided not to use your story. If we do like your story but would like to use it for a future publication, we will contact you for permission.
